What would it be like to live without the fear of relapse?
Fear of relapse can quietly run in the background like a constant alarm: you’re functioning on the outside, but inside you’re waiting for something to go wrong.
In our sessions, we slow down and get curious about what’s really happening in your mind and body. Instead of fighting cravings and fears alone, you’ll have a structured, compassionate space to explore them and create new responses that actually work for you.
You might be asking yourself:
• “Why do I feel like I’m always one bad day away from a relapse?”
• “Why do old patterns show up even when I know better?”
• “Will I always have to be this scared of slipping?”
These are exactly the questions we’ll explore together.
In our work together, we can focus on:
- Reducing anxiety about relapse
- Rebuilding trust with yourself
- Understanding cravings without shame
- Healing patterns underneath substance use
- Creating daily routines that support sobriety
- Living more in the present, less in fear
How our counseling sessions work
Individual counseling with me is not about judging your past or lecturing you on what you “should” be doing. It’s about discovering, together, what you need in the present moment and how to take one clear step at a time.
- We start with where you are right now. What’s working, what’s not, and what you’re most afraid of.
- We clarify what you truly need. Not just “stay sober,” but deeper needs like peace, safety, connection, purpose, or stability.
- We design one small action at a time. One need, one action — so change feels doable, not overwhelming.
- We build skills you can rely on. Practical tools for moments of craving, stress, conflict, and self-doubt.
- We work toward a new experience of yourself. Less shame and self-blame, more self-respect and confidence in your recovery.
Is this the right fit for you?
Individual counseling with me may be a good fit if you:
- Have a history with substances and want to protect your recovery.
- Find yourself stuck in “what if I relapse?” thoughts, even when you’re doing well.
- Feel tired of white-knuckling it or pretending you’re “fine” when you’re not.
- Are ready to be honest, curious, and open to trying something different.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. You just need to be willing to take one step toward a calmer, steadier relationship with yourself and your recovery.
